How to Find Info to Complete Survey

The REACH Authorisation Work Group (WG5) members recognize that the A&D supply chain is both extensive and complex.  Therefore, we need help from all our suppliers, including their response to mapping activities undertaken by and on behalf of the work group.  To start, please go through our Checklist of possible sources for substance information. 

Where to Check for Substance Use (guidance to get you started)

• Look for SVHCs by searching for their CAS number in the Constituent ingredients listed in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Review your company’s Purchasing Records
• Look on the Product Labels of the chemicals / formulations you use
• Review Product or Material Specifications or Operating Procedures
• Review Information held by R&D, technical, production and quality control personnel
• Review Bills of Material
• Query Engineering / Materials and Design experts
• Other sources
